Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has cautioned the Black Stars to approach their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros with focus and discipline. He described the island nation as a strong and well-organized opponent capable of causing problems.
The decisive match will be played on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT. Ghana needs just one point to secure qualification for next year’s World Cup.
Speaking to the media ahead of the encounter, Otto Addo acknowledged the progress Comoros has made in recent years and warned that his players must stay alert throughout the game. “They’ve been doing good work over the years, and we in Ghana have felt it before. Especially up front, they are very strong. It’s going to be a difficult match,” he said.
Addo also praised the tactical discipline of the Comoros team, noting their adaptability and improvement under their current coach. He emphasized that every detail would matter and urged his players to give their best from start to finish.
