With the 2025 Easter festivities approaching, the Ghana Police Service has launched a nationwide security operation to protect lives and property.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Service said it has deployed officers across major roads, highways, and communities. This effort forms part of a plan to maintain peace and order during the celebrations.
“The Ghana Police Service has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a safe and peaceful 2025 Easter celebration,” the statement said.
Security has been tightened in the Eastern Region, especially the Kwahu area. Thousands of people are expected to attend the annual Paragliding Festival and other related events.
The Police noted, “We have made special arrangements for the Kwahu area to cover the Paragliding Festival and other activities.”
They also urged the public to support their efforts. “Stay alert, be security conscious, and report suspicious behavior to the police,” the statement advised.
To conclude, the Police Administration wished all Ghanaians a joyful Easter and assured the public of their safety.
This heightened security presence comes amid growing concerns about public safety during major national holidays, especially in densely populated areas.
