A tragic road accident at Aburaso near Adugyama in the Ashanti Region has claimed the life of a kindergarten pupil identified as Daniel.

Eyewitnesses said the Aburaso pupil accident occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, when a truck loaded with logs overturned, spilling its cargo onto the roadside. The truck, with registration number GE 9901-11, was transporting logs when some fell off and trapped three children who were walking home from school.

Sadly, Daniel died instantly after being pinned under the heavy logs. Two other children who were with him sustained injuries and were rushed to the Bechem Hospital, where they are receiving medical care.

One eyewitness recounted, “The children were walking home when the logs suddenly fell from the moving truck. Unfortunately, Daniel was trapped beneath them and couldn’t survive.”

The tragic Aburaso pupil accident has thrown the entire community into deep mourning. Residents describe the incident as heartbreaking, especially because it claimed such a young life.

Police officers from the area have since visited the scene and begun investigations to determine what caused the logs to fall from the truck.

Families of the victims and community members are appealing for stricter road safety enforcement to prevent similar tragedies.
