Today, I had the privilege of being present in Parliament for the reading of Ghana’s national budget. I am deeply satisfied with the honesty, transparency, and truthfulness reflected in the presentation. This budget truly embodies the hopes and aspirations of Ghanaians and aligns with the commitments made to the people during the campaign period.
I am particularly pleased that the Ashanti Region was well provided for under this budget. Key allocations have been made towards road infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and job creation, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the development of our region.
Some notable highlights for Ashanti Region include:
✅ Infrastructure: Major road projects such as the Suame Interchange, Kumasi Inner City Roads, and key highway upgrades.
✅ Education: Expansion of GETFund projects and the construction of additional classroom blocks to improve access to quality education.
✅ Health: Investments in healthcare facilities to enhance service delivery in the region.
✅ Job Creation: Support for youth employment programs, skills training, and funding for small businesses.
It is reassuring to see a government dedicated to fulfilling its promises and prioritizing the well-being of its citizens, particularly in the Ashanti Region. Now, our focus must be on ensuring that these projects are fully implemented for the benefit of all.
A big thank you to all who contributed to shaping this budget. Together, we move forward for a better Ghana and a stronger Ashanti Region! 🇬🇭
