Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA), has traveled to Japan to attend the annual general meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH).

According to a statement signed by Kakra Essamuah, the Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Nketia is leading a delegation representing Ghana at the global maritime event in Kobe.

The delegation is expected to return to Ghana on October 12, 2025. During Mr. Nketia’s absence, the NDC’s Vice Chairman, Awudu Sofo Azorka, will act as the party’s National Chairman.
