After a severe rainstorm hit parts of Accra on Tuesday, March 25, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) vowed to restore power quickly. In a statement on March 26, ECG explained that the storm damaged its network, which caused outages and electrical faults. Moreover, ECG told its customers, “The heavy rainstorm that hit parts of Accra and its environs yesterday evening (March 25, 2025) has caused some outages in our network.”

Additionally, a team of engineers has already set out to assess the damage. They now work to repair the faults and restore power as swiftly as possible. ECG remains committed to fast power restoration for all its customers.
