The Fosu Royal Family of Parkoso and Nsuta, custodians of the late Ghanaian music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has issued a stern warning to individuals and relatives attempting to lay claim to his assets. The family advised that no one should take possession of or make claims to Daddy Lumba’s estate until official discussions on the equitable distribution of his properties are concluded.

In a formal statement released through their solicitors, the family emphasized that “all his properties form part of his estate, which the family, together with his children and their mothers, shall work together to ensure fair distribution to all who are entitled to benefit.”

The family disclosed that Daddy Lumba left behind detailed instructions regarding the management of his estate and the organization of his funeral and burial. These directives, according to the Fosu Royal Family, are being respected as part of efforts to honor his memory with dignity and peace.

They further urged all concerned parties, including Akosua Serwah, to cooperate fully with the family to ensure a smooth and respectful farewell for the celebrated highlife musician.

To prevent unnecessary conflict, the family called for restraint among relatives and associates. “To avoid any unproductive litigation among the family and children that may result in shame for the dead, the Fosu family is open to peaceful discussions… but until then, let all persons stay away from the properties,” the statement concluded.

This appeal underscores the family’s desire to prevent disputes that could tarnish the late musician’s legacy and disrupt family harmony.

The statement also clarified the family’s stance on the late artist’s marital status. According to the Fosu Royal Family, Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, lived with Daddy Lumba through his most difficult years and is recognized as his legitimate wife. “It is our clear instruction to state that Odo Broni is a recognized wife of the late Daddy Lumba and same is recognized by the Fosu Royal Family,” the statement affirmed.

The recognition puts to rest lingering speculation about the singer’s personal life and affirms the family’s commitment to fairness and transparency in managing his estate.
