Frank Annoh-Dompreh has been declared the winner of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri election after a re-collation of results.
This announcement comes after a contentious period, with both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) contesting the parliamentary election results for the constituency.
Annoh-Dompreh, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, had earlier called for the transition process to be halted until all outstanding parliamentary seats were declared by the Electoral Commission.
The re-collation of results has now confirmed his victory, although the NDC had previously rejected the re-collated parliamentary results, accusing the EC of manipulation.
