Ghana has taken a bold step toward transforming its learning landscape through a strategic partnership with AMBYLON, a leading German education technology company. The collaboration was officially announced during the visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, with Ghana’s Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu unveiling the project.
Speaking at a joint press conference, Minister Iddrisu confirmed that AMBYLON will lead the complete digital transformation of Ghana’s education system. This historic partnership aims to make Ghana the first country to fully digitalize its education framework, ensuring every student has access to modern and inclusive learning opportunities.
The initiative brings together key national bodies, including the Ministry of Education, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), and the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS). These institutions will work alongside AMBYLON to integrate advanced technologies into teaching and learning processes across the country.
AMBYLON’s role includes deploying innovative learning management systems, digital content creation tools, and immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences tailored to the Ghanaian curriculum. This approach supports the government’s vision to promote equity, opportunity, and growth through technology-driven education.
“Ghana is setting a global benchmark,” said Jörn Halsinger, founder and CEO of AMBYLON. “The government’s commitment to digital education reflects its forward-thinking leadership and dedication to equality and innovation. We are proud to support this remarkable transformation.”
This partnership not only represents a milestone in Ghana’s digital agenda but also positions the country as a potential global leader in educational technology innovation. Through this collaboration, Ghana is paving the way for a future where quality education is accessible to all through the power of digital tools.
