The Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, has arrived in Ghana for a two-day official visit focused on strengthening diplomatic, political, and economic relations between the two nations.

Upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, Prime Minister Mitchell was warmly received by Ghana’s Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, and other senior government officials. The visit marks a new chapter in Ghana–Grenada relations, emphasizing a shared commitment to collaboration within the framework of South–South cooperation.

Shortly after his arrival, Prime Minister Mitchell took part in the inaugural Ghana–Grenada Political Consultation Meeting hosted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra. The meeting represented a major milestone in formalizing political dialogue and expanding cooperation between Ghana and the Caribbean nation in key areas such as trade, tourism, health, and cultural exchange.

Both governments are expected to use the visit to explore opportunities that will promote mutual growth, deepen bilateral understanding, and foster partnerships across multiple sectors. The two-day official visit is also expected to lay the groundwork for future agreements aimed at strengthening the long-standing ties between Ghana and Grenada.
