At least six supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Amenfi Central sustained injuries in a violent attack at Adjakaamanso on Saturday night, November 30, 2024. The incident occurred as the party’s parliamentary candidate, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, and her entourage were returning from a campaign event.

Unidentified individuals, suspected to be thugs, reportedly ambushed the group, damaging the campaign vehicle by smashing its windows. Although Madam Joana Gyan Cudjoe escaped unharmed, several members of her team suffered injuries to their heads, hands, and legs.

The injured individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment. The case has been reported to the Wassa Dominase Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.

A source close to one of the victims, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed that the attack occurred while the group was returning from their campaign activities in Adjakaamanso.
