Flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to elect bold and fearless leadership as the party prepares for its presidential primaries in January 2026.
During his campaign tour in the Savannah Region, the Assin Central MP declared his firm stance on electoral integrity, saying he would never concede defeat in a national election until the Electoral Commission (EC) officially declared the results.
“If I were the presidential candidate, I would never accept defeat until the EC declared the last vote. We need bold men who can face the NDC head-on; otherwise, we risk returning to opposition,” Mr. Agyapong told cheering supporters.
He reaffirmed his deep commitment to the NPP, noting his decades of sacrifice and loyalty to the party.
“The way I love NPP, I will never do anything to destroy it. Since 1992, no one has sacrificed for NPP more than I have,” he said to loud applause.
The outspoken lawmaker also took aim at rival aspirants, criticizing those he believes lack clear campaign messages.
“Anyone who comes with no campaign message but spends all his time talking during his campaign is wasting his time,” he added.
Kennedy Agyapong remains one of the leading contenders in the NPP’s 2026 flagbearer race, set for January 31, 2026. His campaign continues to emphasize courage, accountability, and decisive leadership as essential traits for the party’s success in the next general election.
