The Nungua Mantse said Mahama’s journey offers inspiration, especially to the youth. “Your story is not just political. It shows that perseverance, not shortcuts, leads to success,” he stated.
This event was part of President Mahama’s national “Thank You Tour.” The tour allows him to thank Ghanaians for their strong support during the December 7, 2024, general election, which brought him back to power.
King Welentsi congratulated Mahama on his comeback. He said the election results reflected two major points: Ghanaians trust Mahama’s leadership and they are disappointed in his political rivals.
“Your experience, both in victory and in defeat, places you in a strong position,” the Nungua Mantse said. “You can unite the country, listen to the people, and drive development.”
He commended Mahama for admitting the mistakes that led to his 2016 loss. According to him, that honesty shows political maturity. However, he warned that repeating old mistakes could hurt both Mahama’s legacy and his party’s future chances.
The Nungua Mantse emphasized the importance of gratitude. He said Mahama must stay sincere in serving the people who trust in his leadership. “It’s not just about saying thank you—it’s about proving that their vote was worth it,” he added.
He also praised the idea behind the Thank You Tour. “Despite my busy schedule, I often go incognito to follow public conversations online,” he revealed. “Ghana must come first. This victory is not just political; it’s a win for all of us.”
King Welentsi closed with a call for unity. He said the election result showed that collective effort and belief can lead to great success.
