President John Dramani Mahama has strengthened Ghana’s judiciary by swearing in 21 High Court Judges as new Justices of the Court of Appeal.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, October 2, at the Jubilee House. It was attended by top government officials, members of the judiciary, and invited dignitaries.
Among the newly appointed Justices is Justice Daniel Mensah, popularly known as Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, together with Justice Senyo Amedahe, a High Court Judge from Koforidua.
Other distinguished appointees include Justice Justin Dorgu, Justice George Boadi, Justice Ayitey Armah-Tetteh, Justice Olivia Boeng Owusu, Justice Douglas Seidu, Justice Ali Baba Bature, Justice Mariama Samo, Justice Abena Adzin Doku, Justice Mary Maame Akua Yanzu, and Justice Jennifer Anne Myers Ahmed.
The full list further features Justice John Bosco Nabarese, Justice Kwasi Anokye Gyimah, Justice Richmond Osei Hwere, Justice Apangano Achibonga, Justice Charity Akosua Asem, Justice Enyonam Adinyira, Justice Shiela Minta, Justice Bridget Kafui Antonio, and Justice Franklina Gesila Adanu.
This appointment marks a significant step by President Mahama in boosting the capacity of the Court of Appeal and ensuring effective justice delivery in the country.
