During a routine inspection at Swiss Port in Tema on Wednesday, April 23, 2024, the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) uncovered a major drug shipment.

Officials discovered concealed substances in a cargo destined for the Netherlands. The inspection revealed 73 slabs suspected to be cocaine, weighing about 89.74 kilograms.

NACOC arrested four people in connection with the illegal shipment. The suspects are currently in custody.
