The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is urging its supporters to remain vigilant and focused, even as the party expresses confidence in its impending victory. In a statement, the NDC cautioned its supporters against premature jubilation, instead instructing them to proceed to constituency collation centers to ensure the protection of their ballots.
According to Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the NDC’s Director of Elections and IT, the party aims to complete the collation of at least 75% of presidential election results by 11:00 p.m. on December 7. This move is seen as a strategic effort to maintain transparency and safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
The NDC has also expressed concerns about potential electoral manipulation by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing alleged plans to rig the election. In response, the NDC is encouraging its supporters to be vigilant and to use their mobile phones to record videos of the election results declaration processes.
As the electoral process unfolds, the NDC is emphasizing the importance of peaceful yet determined action. Dr. Omane Boamah has urged supporters to work collaboratively with security agencies and to ensure that all security personnel deployed during the election wear proper name tags.
