The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Council of Elders Chairman, Hackman Owusu Agyemang, has denounced former Dome-Kwabenya MP Adwoa Safo’s persistent public criticism of the party’s leadership. Agyemang described her actions as unacceptable and a blatant violation of party rules.

Safo has repeatedly spoken to the media, alleging a coordinated effort within the NPP to tarnish her reputation. Despite a warning from the NPP General Secretary to refrain from discussing internal matters publicly, Safo continued to grant media interviews.

The party has referred her to its disciplinary committee, and Agyemang emphasized that the party will not tolerate defiance. He warned Safo to cease all public statements regarding the party, stating that disciplinary measures will be enforced to uphold party discipline and unity.

The NPP leadership expressed deep disappointment in Safo’s conduct, given her previous senior roles in government and the party. Agyemang hopes Safo will comply with the party’s directives, but emphasized that corrective measures must be taken if she fails to adhere.
