Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II, the Chief of Nyinahini in the Ashanti Region, has urged authorities to arrest and prosecute the military officers accused of killing a local youth.
He addressed the issue during a meeting with Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe, and Atwima Mponua MP, Seth Osei Akoto. The Chief condemned the incident and insisted that the soldiers must face justice.

“Why shoot someone just for wearing army camouflage?” he questioned. “He handed over the shirt and said he would be naked if he removed his trousers. Yet, they shot him. They must be arrested and prosecuted.”
The statement follows the alleged shooting of 37-year-old Kwame Lala, who died after a confrontation with military officers. The incident also left four others injured.
DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe assured the community that the police have launched a full investigation.
He promised to ensure that those involved will be held accountable.
“We have started the investigation. The offenders will not walk free,” he assured.He also pleaded with the youth to remain calm while the authorities work to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family is demanding justice. Kwame Lala left behind a wife and eight children. Two of the injured victims have been discharged from the hospital and are currently recovering
