Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is ready to return to work after recovering from a recent illness. Former President John Mahama shared the update during his ‘Thank You Tour’ in Dodowa, Greater Accra Region, on Friday, May 16.

He expressed relief and gratitude for her improved health. Mahama confirmed that the Vice President would resume her official duties soon.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang went on medical leave on April 7, 2025, following her doctors’ advice. She traveled abroad for further treatment as a precaution to ensure a full recovery.
