Ghana’s biggest football rivalry could get an extra spark this weekend as Hearts of Oak move to secure music stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for their highly anticipated Hearts vs Kotoko Super Clash.

The Phobians are in advanced discussions to bring the two award-winning artists to the Accra Sports Stadium for Sunday’s Week 9 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

In an interview on Fire for Fire on Adom TV, Hearts of Oak’s Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, confirmed that talks with Shatta Wale’s team began last Friday and are progressing well.

“From last Friday, we’ve been working around the clock to bring Shatta Wale to the stadium on Sunday,” Opare Addo said. “Fans should stay calm — the feedback so far has been positive.”

He also hinted that supporters could be treated to double entertainment, revealing that the club is also engaging Stonebwoy for a possible appearance.

If successful, both artistes’ presence will inject an electrifying showbiz energy into one of Ghana’s most fiercely contested football fixtures. The move is expected to boost fan attendance and elevate the matchday experience.

Kick-off for the Hearts vs Kotoko clash is scheduled for 16:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium, with fans eagerly awaiting confirmation of the musicians’ participation.
