A female Senior High School (SHS) student, Ruth Akwaboah, has gained attention for her unique entrepreneurial spirit. Despite being a student, Ruth has taken on the role of a barber, cutting hair for her fellow students and even some teachers to support her family

.According to Ruth, she started cutting hair in Class 2, when she was just 8 years old. She learned the skill from her mother, who is also a barber.

Ruth’s mother had been the sole breadwinner for their family, but when she fell ill, Ruth took it upon herself to learn the trade and support her family.Ruth’s barbering skills have become so popular in her school that she now has a steady stream of clients.

She charges a modest fee of GH¢5-10 per haircut, which helps her support her family’s needs.Despite the demands of being a student and a barber, Ruth remains committed to her education. She is determined to excel in her studies while also pursuing her passion for barbering.

Ruth’s story is an inspiration to many, showcasing her resilience, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. She is proof that with hard work and dedication, one can achieve their goals and make a positive impact on their community.
