Controversial Ghanaian social media personality Twene Jonas has claimed that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials visited his home. This development comes after Afia Schwarzenegger, a Ghanaian comedienne, allegedly reported him to the US Embassy in Ghana, accusing him of being an illegal immigrant.
According to Schwarzenegger, Twene Jonas had insulted Otumfuo, the Ashanti king, and she vowed to get him deported to Ghana within three months. Twene Jonas, however, remains defiant, stating that he cannot be arrested by ICE, and that former US President Donald Trump has no authority over him.
The drama unfolded after Twene Jonas criticized Dag Heward-Mills, the founder of Lighthouse Chapel, for insulting Otumfuo. Schwarzenegger jumped to Heward-Mills’ defense, sparking a heated exchange between her and Twene Jonas.
Twene Jonas has been at the center of several controversies, with many Ghanaians criticizing his opinions and lifestyle. Despite the backlash, he continues to share his views and engage with his followers on social media.
