The Krontihene of Akyem Asuom, Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, has strongly criticized President Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidency, stating that he’s not leaving a good legacy. According to Nana Abodade III, Ghana has suffered greatly under Akufo-Addo’s tenure, with widespread looting by government appointees and a poorly performing administration.
The Krontihene expressed relief that Akufo-Addo’s term is coming to an end, saying “Ghana has been stripped naked; the robbers have stolen all the goodies.” He also accused Akufo-Addo of disrespecting traditional authorities, citing instances where chiefs were instructed to stand and greet him.
Nana Abodade III stated that many chiefs are happy to see Akufo-Addo leave office, and he prayed that Ghana would never have another president like him. He also endorsed former President John Mahama, saying he would vote for him due to his impressive development record, particularly in digital infrastructure.
This criticism comes as Akufo-Addo’s presidency nears its end, with many Ghanaians reflecting on his legacy and impact on the country.
