Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces to ensure maximum security during the special voting exercise scheduled for tomorrow, December 02, 2024.
Highlighting the importance of the exercise as a key part of the electoral process, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the need for a secure environment that allows voters to cast their ballots freely, without fear or intimidation.
“The special voting exercise is critical, and all necessary measures must be taken to guarantee its success,” he stated.
This appeal comes as Ghana prepares for a pivotal election, with the special voting exercise serving as a litmus test for the overall electoral process. Dr. Bawumia’s call aims to reinforce peace and transparency during this phase.
The Vice President urged the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces to collaborate effectively, providing comprehensive security to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise. Voters, he noted, must be empowered to participate without any hindrance or threats to their safety.
This proactive measure underscores the government’s commitment to a credible and peaceful election.
